Urgent Proposal for EPRDFs Consideration
Seifeselassie 02-26-18 - For the first time in its otherwise impressive record of rising to the occasion no matter how grave and formidable the challenges, we are sadly witnessing these days that EPRDF might be exhibiting a sense of hesitation in terms of which direction to take and perhaps even an impasse in trying to reach a consensus and elect a new prime minister.

China proposes to let Xi Jinping extend presidency beyond 2023
China's governing Communist Party has proposed removing a clause in the constitution which limits presidencies to two five-year terms. The move would allow the current President Xi Jinping to remain as leader after he is due to step down. There had been widespread speculation that Mr Xi would seek to extend his presidency beyond 2023.
If China with its almost super power status is worried about stability why is Ethiopia not concerned about its own stability and playing with fire in the name of promoting western democracy today? Ethiopia needs a strong government to pull her out of its current quagmire!
EPRDF Politics - Next, Review Each Member Organization Report!
EPRDF is running against time to conclude its Deep Tehadeso campaign. The resignation of PM Hailemariam has complicated issues but according to our source all four members have concluded their own evaluation based on the recent EPRDF resolution and guideline! The next step is for EPRDF to discuss and assess the report of each member party, debate on the content and reach final conclusion. In the end EPRDF may accept or reject some or all of the report of each party. This milestone is the most decisive phase before election matters are discussed. The rush of talking about who will be PM is pointless at this moment as the fate will be decided on the result of the evaluation and criticism. The remaining engagement is very important and the make or break of the EPRDF and the fate of the country is still in EPRDF's hand! According to all indications the current challenges will be resolved amicably despite the challenges we were told! - Aigaforum Feb 24, 2018

Social media from America are stoking Ethiopia's ethnic violence
The Ethiopian diaspora in the US uses social media to great effect in shaping coverage of events back home, especially the protest movement that has pummeled Ethiopia for more than two years. During that time, social media has proved itself a double-edged sword in Ethiopia: Its capable of filling a need for more information due to limited press freedom and frequent blanket shutdowns of mobile internet, but also of pushing the country toward even greater calamity
