OPDO Centerla Committee is holding its Regular General Meeting
According to our reliable source the EPRDF/Federal Government has informed all EPRDF member organizations to finish their deep tehadeso review. Word is the federal government is ready to take any necessary action where necessary to keep peace and order. All four EPRDF member organizations are required to finish their internal reorganization before the EPRDF congress. According to our source the current crisis developing in Oromia region is expected to dominate OPDO CC current meeting. Our source told us the crisis is the work of internal dissidents within OPDO. OPDO is at a critical juncture! Similarly TPLF is expected to finish up its follow up executive leadership meeting which will be followed by the full central committee meeting. The stakes are high said our source but EPRDF is ready and all preparation are done in the event of unseen developments.
Tsenat Interview with Minister Dr Debertsion G.Michael, TPLF Deputy Chairman. Dr Debertsion explained in detailed on the ongoing political development in the country and why extremist and other misguided elements within the society blame TPLF for everything gone wrong in Ethiopia. He said TPLF is fully responsible for what is going on in Tigrai but not in Ethiopia. TPLF along with its sister organization in EPRDF may be blamed equally for both the good and the bad in Ethiopia! Dr Debertsion said the first phase of the conference was completed successfully however TPLF will hold another meeting soon to iron out few remaining issues. He also touched on Ethio-Eritrea issue and on the much talked about "new Ethio-Eritrea" policy!
Spains Digital Civil War
Today, while tension between Catalonia and Spain ebbs and flows, a digital civil war is being fought on social media. No truce is in sight.
"The relevance of the events unfolding in Spain to Ethiopian situation and the role of social media ripping the guts and soul of a peaceful and democratic Spain is quite eerie and frightening going forward. The big question is how do you tame the social media which is driving out civility, progress and unity into abyss and replacing it with the law of the jungle of rudeness, hate and rudimentary tribal sense of vision?"

The Root Causes of Ethiopian Political Crisis:Beyond Ethiopian Nationalism and Ethnicity
Yoseph Mulugeta Baba, Ph.D 10-25-2017 - I argue that the present Ethiopian political leadership pleads for a shift of the approach in the relationship between Ethiopian-nationalism and ethnicity. Stated differently, neither assimilationism nor isolationism can respond to the serious political and social problems affecting contemporary Ethiopia. The lack of mutual understanding in Ethiopian political philosophy arises from...
